Due to an upcoming family leave, I am not currently taking new clients or adding new names to my waitlist.

I’m Dr. Hannah Holmes, a clinical health psychologist, professor, and mental health communicator who uses science-backed strategies to guide people toward lasting healing from anxiety and chronic pain. Dr. Hannah Holmes Headshot

I help people understand and overcome anxiety and chronic pain.

In my clinical work, I help women address the emotional factors driving chronic pain and work with individuals facing significant anxiety using evidence-based techniques like exposure therapy.

I also work to make mental health knowledge more accessible to the public through writing, teaching, expert commentary, and brand and media partnerships rooted in shared values.

Across all of these roles, my goal is to make evidence-based care more accessible, reframe pain and anxiety in ways that support real healing, and empower people to face what feels impossible.

What I Do

Individual & Group Psychotherapy

I offer specialized therapy services for individuals and groups, focusing on anxiety, chronic pain, and women’s health. My approach is rooted in evidence-based techniques like exposure-based cognitive behavioral therapy and pain reprocessing therapy, with the goal of helping clients move beyond coping to real, lasting improvement.

Academic Teaching & Research

As a clinical assistant professor and assistant director of a university psychology clinic, I train future psychologists in evidence-based assessment and intervention. Teaching and supervising keeps me sharp–I’m always reading, learning, and growing to ensure I’m giving my students a strong, up-to-date foundation in the science and practice of psychology.

Media & Brand Collaboration

I love the challenge of making good science and deep clinical insights accessible in real-world settings! Whether contributing expert commentary, consulting on campaigns, or developing educational content, I bring a grounded, compassionate, and science-informed voice to public conversations about mental health.
